Who's Next?
WWE and WCW icon, Goldberg, will be the Pre-order bonus character for WWE 2K17. Goldberg is also the pioneer of the "Spear" finishing maneuver that has been used with the likes of Edge, Roman Reigns and Charlotte.
A publisher for 2K released this new information in a press release:
"Best known for his unprecedented 173-0 singles competition win streak in WCW from 1997 to 1998, Goldberg will appear in WWE 2K17 through two playable characters representing his WCW and WWE personas."

This marks the first time in 12 years that Goldberg has worked with the WWE, and according to him, his son had "a lot to do with it."
To pay tribute to Goldberg, here is the ultimate cover:

WWE.com recently interviewed Bill Goldberg to discuss his inclusion in WWE 2K17 and below are some interview highlights:
On how the WWE 2K17 deal happened:
“I just got the phone call. It was something that we had been in talks off and on over a number of years. As a father and an ex-wrestler, it’s a dream come true. To be able to come back and be included in WWE 2K17, it’s a huge honor. That the people would even want me back after such a long hiatus is another honor.”
If his WWE tenure was a success:
“Hell yeah, it was successful. I got paid and I put smiles on people’s faces, so I don’t think you can say that it wasn’t a success by any stretch of the imagination. At the end of the day, leaving WrestleMania, having my hand raised, beating Brock Lesnar… I’d say it was a pretty successful tenure.”
If he has another match in him:
“I’ve got 50 more in me. It just depends on the ability to keep it up to my standards. I love everybody to death and I greatly appreciate their opinions, but none of it matters except for mine, because I hold myself to such high standards. The reality is, you’ve got movies, TV appearances, a kid, you’re 49 years old … things aren’t like they used to be. It’s a completely different day. I’m 20 to 30 pounds less than what I was because I just don’t need to be that dude with traps from his ears to his shoulders. Would I like to be that guy again? Absolutely. He’s still in there.”
As for 2K17, no solid gameplay details yet, but the release does outline an October launch window.
This is an exciting time as a WWE fan to get Goldberg as a Pre-order bonus.
